The Chelsea

this is called a diptic photograph (in lamen's terms, a two-in-one photo). we started calling it the chelsea because chelsea in my class LOVES doing these :]. I like how this turned out, but i kind of wish i had gotten a bit more interesting drink (whipped cream on it perhaps) and i also wish the bottom photograph had been a bit more interesting. I like how this came out though. I color balanced both photos, and that's about all.

Special Object

My special object is a dog that i have had since i was born. I am overall pleased with how this turned out, but i think if i could have achieved the "black background" more, i would have liked it a bit more. Messed with the curves on photoshop, and cropped it a bit so there was not so much gray space in the picture.

Drip Photo

This is my drip photo. I used a photo filter on this (colorcross) on a program on my computer. I got the orange in there by using marker ink in the bag of water, and the raindbow in the dip of the water was caught from the light. Overall I like the effect I achiecved with this photo, and i'm happy with how it turned out.

flower pictures!

This picture was taken at Lapham Peak. I handed a flower to my friend, and the way she was holding it looked kind of cool. I messed around with the saturation, turning it down, and then individually went into the yellow saturation settihng and bumped it up, so that the flower didn't look like it was dying, and it stood out, but the rest of the picture was kind of dull. i like the overall look of this picture, and how it turned out.

For this picture, i kind of kidnapped my friend from her house and made her go with me to this field of flowers. I like this one because she looks natural, as with the other ones i itook of her she was kind of posing. i bumped up the saturation in the entire thing, but again i went individually ibnto the yellow setting and bumped it up a bit more, so that it would really stand out. I also cropped this picture because to start she was dead center, which i did not like. i like the overall color, and feel to this image, and am pleased with how it turned out.

Mythology

Eos, goddess of dawn. Supposed to have "rosy fingers", eos was responsible for opening the gates of heaven so Apollo could ride his chariot across the sky every day.

Aurora, goddess of the dawn, renews herself every morning and flies across the sky, announcing the arrival of the sun.

Mary.
